Great for independent learning |
| My middle school students bought this at our school book fair and we sold out twice. My students bring this book to the first day of Spanish class and every day after that even if we don't use it. It gets passed around from student to student as they pour over vocabulary that interests them. They practice it on their own! If you want something that authentically engages young learners, this is it! |
Spanish that kids really do speak |
| I stumbled across this book this summer and plan to use it in my 7th & 8th grade beginning Spanish classes during the year. The title page states that it's the Spanish that kids really speak and I agree. The book is set up simply with illustrations that appeal to middle level learners and includes pronunciation examples that are easy to use. (The biggest fear in my students is pronouncing something wrong.) The categories and phrases are of great interest to the age group the book is targeted to. It's a fun book for any age group and I will be using it as a supplement to my regular classroom materials. Teachers - check this out! |
