Outstanding | |
| I (easily) taught myself Autocad with these books, earned a transfer to a CAD assignment (no more graphite stains on my blouses), and got a raise for my efforts. I highly recommend this approach - inexpensive and extremely easy to follow instruction. Thanks, publisher! | |
Very useful text | |
| I had to learn autocad in a hurry, and I was traveling to a job site. I put the ebook on my laptop (along with the autocad program) and it worked great (no having to manage a heavy book and a computer, keyboard, etc). In the evenings, I covered the rest of Part I and most of Part II in a hotel room. I like the ebook format (much cheaper and no dead trees), but I love the easy content! Sykes' step-by-step exercises were great - it was like having a friendly instructor sitting next to me! (He even knew when I needed some encouragement.) I can't wait to start the 3D text - my employer will be shocked when he finds out I didn't know anything about autocad when I left for this job! | |
Buyer beware... | |
| In case anyone doesn't read carefully, like myself, there is a "Part II" that'll cost you another $9.95 for a total of almost $20!! For what? they don't print or ship anything? --- had I known that I would have purchased a real book for almost the same price that I could at least have in front of me while I am in AutoCAD (and not have to constantly flip the screen between the book and AutoCAD). This will be the last e-book I buy if the prices stay at this level. |
