| I have a river and wooded area behind my house so I anticipated having mice and other pests once the Winter rolled around. I purchased these a few months after I moved in (before ever seeing a mouse) with the intention to avoid ever having them. At the time, I did have a large amount of spiders in the house. I noticed a large reduction in the amount of spiders once I plugged these in. I am an animal activist, so I certainly did not want to resort to traps or poison. Each year, even after plugging these in, I have one to two mice in my place. It's hard to say if I would have more mice without these devices, so I could not rate it lower than 3 stars. I can say that it is much better than a similar device by a different company that I used which makes horrible clicks and had spiders hanging from it. I can also say that I have never seen a mouse beyond the points where I have these plugged in. I have only seen them in one room and even though there is a device in that room, it is far from where I have seen mice. That could be a possitive factor for this product. I do encourage the use of these products so that cruelity and chemicals do not have to play a role in your lives, but they are not 100% perfect. Perhaps if you have one in every room, the chances of having mice could be very slim. |
