| I really enjoyed this CD. I've seen Take 6 in concert three times before and always wanted to have a live recording. So this CD made me happy. This group never ceases to amaze me. If you like harmony, soul, gospel, jazz and accappella, you will like this CD. Take 6 "Live" may also impress you to buy their other CD's too! | |
| Take 6 is phenomenal in concert | |
| This CD is a wonderful example of the type of material Take 6 includes in their live concerts. I have had the privledge of seeing them 3 times live in concert, and this cd brought back some great memories I have of their live performances. Oh, and the dude who says the recording isn't good obviously hasn't listened to the CD on headphones (the only way to listen to their music!), or seen a live Take 6 concert. The crowd interaction is one of the coolest parts of seeing this group live, and if you haven't been to a Take 6 concert, you can't really appreciate their performance on this cd especially on "I've God Life". When you listen to this cd on good headphones you hear what an incredible talent they are and how much bass Vinnie can put out. Richard Nevin's review is not accurate. The song selection is great because it demonstrates what this group can do. Vocal percussion, vocal instrumentation, and their characteristic smooth jazz vocal style is what makes them the most talented a cappella group in all the land! If you have seen them live, you understand this. But the most important thing about this cd is that the songs are uplifting and reveal Take 6's true purpose: to share the love of Christ and the "Good news" through song. What an incredible talent, and they show the range of their ability on this cd. Contemporary Christian-Gospel-a cappella-pop-jazz at it's finest. Way to go fellas! Another gem! | |
