The scoop's a pipette, but it sucks
| Ok, no, they don't provide the scoop. Yes, they tell you how to make one. But you have to take a pipette, then cut through both sides of it at an angle. It's a very flimsy scoop, and it is a pretty inaccurate way of conducting a chemical experiment. I say this because the capacity of the finished scoop will vary between one persons and the next, depending on where the cut was made. I do think they should have provided a real scoop, and not depended on the kids to get a pair of scissors and try and cut one out just right. I also didn't think they provided the scoop in the beginning, and the fact that I ended up having to make my own wasn't something that quite fit the bill either. | |
The "scoop" is the pipette.
| We have this set and the instruction book clearly explains how to make a scoop from one of the supplied pipettes. Our kids have enjoyed this set and come back to it often to do one more experiment. | |
Where's the | |
| The directions for most of the experiments in this kit call for "1/2 scoop" of this or "1 scoop" of that... but guess what, they don't provide the scoop! So, we're trying to figure out how much a "scoop" would be, but haven't been able to do so. Very frustrating. Wish they would have charged me a little more and provided the scoop! (It's not listed in the parts listing, they just don't give it!) |
