 I love this bookcase! |
| I've checked out several places, and I have to say, this is the best folding bookcase around, which is why I have three and am getting one more. It is very good-looking, and a great value. Many other stores sell folding bookcases for twice as much.
The four shelves that vary in depth is great because you can fit smaller or lighter books and items on the top and the heavier, wider books on the bottom shelf. Because of this great design, it isn't likely to tip (also because it's not too tall) which is great in a place prone to earthquakes, but good for overall safety no matter where you live. It's lightweight but sturdy because it's made of real wood, not particle board.
I'd actually give this product 4.5 stars instead of just 4, but that's not an option. What keeps this bookcase from being perfect is the shelf-locking problem as mentioned in a couple other reviews. It's not present in every bookcase. I had to exchange one, but even doing that takes less time than assembling one of those terrible particle board bookshelves. It's still worth it to get one of these instead. I highly recommend this product! |

| My husband and I purchased this bookcase for our daughter who is almost 2. All of her books fit on it nicely and it's very sturdy. We were concerned that we'd have to anchor it to the wall to avoid tipping. However, the design of the case makes it very secure. It's wider at the bottom than the top, therefore, the chances of it tipping are slim to none. I even tried to tug on it rather hard from the top shelf and it barely budged. I was concerned after reading the review from the person who said they were not satisfied, but decided to go and check it out on our own. I'm glad that we did, we found that it was a great buy and NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED. So we're not quite sure what he's talking about with glue on the dowels and slats not being long enough. We didn't have to assemble anything, but place the shelves on the brackets. We highly recommend this product. |

| This is a great bookcase. Just open the box, click into place and there it is; ready to use. Great quality, not rocky, smooth and beautiful! I would love to see more easy to assemble home pieces. |
