Having never met the morons that rated this game one star. I can only observe that they are very very stupid by reading the reviews. Not every one can have my intelligence. This I realize, however considering no one will ever read this review being that there are over 200 hundred reviews for this game, there are no qualms in flaunting my above average intelligence and education, currently pursing my masters degree in computer science.

First this is an RPG, if you do not like RPGS then play something else, I recommend Jedi academy, which is a First person sword fight.

If you do like RPGS then this is a very good game. There are problems with this game like most games.

First it is too short. Which has to be the most forgiving criticism you can give a game, if it is boring then 3 minutes is far too long. Expect about 20-30 hours of game play if you explore every where do everything.

Second the story is not as good as the first KOTOR. The story has lots of holes. I had to play throw as a dark and a light side character to get the real understanding of what is happening. The end is anti climatic, yet satisfying, and does vary depending on your choices.

Third and perhaps the greatest criticism, you can become far too powerful. I love the fact that there are no restricting level limits, but the high end powers just add to much. I was far more powerful then Darth Vader and Emperor and Yoda (not that you see any of those characters), by the time I finished the game the first time. I expected a massive final battle, and while good it was I found it far to easy.

The second time though, as a light side character I intently kept my character weaker but still had a easy time in the final confrontations.

Great game. Like RPGS AND like Starwars or sci-fi in general? Get this game. Otherwise watch TV, feel the power of the TV flowing through you. Watch as your mind slips throw your fingers. By the way go Patriots, and to cowboy1977 the answer to your question is Raymond Berry. The question was who was the head coach of the pats vs. the 1985 bears. Eat that.

User rating: 5Why complain about graphical issues?
When I first recieved KOTOR, I was heartbroken that I couldn't play it because of graphic issues, my card was way out of date. It was a simple trip to compUSA and 80 bucks lost. Then it ran perfect, except now I just need more memory, or it'll run choppily in some places. Another simple fix. So why do people just whine and whine and whine that they can't get it running on their desktop when they can just as easily go to a computer store and buy the right card.

Now for the game's review.

When I started playing KOTOR, I couldn't stop. You couldn't pay me to stop. As I mentioned, the insufficient RAM space makes for some choppy areas, but I've adjusted. It's true that you really get into the characters, they each have their own personality. My personal favorite is Zaalbar, he always gets picked on by Mission. I usually feel sorry for him, which is how much this game allows you to feel for your characters. The game itself isn't as linear as I thought it would be, and really makes me happy that I have elbow room finally. This did what no other Jedi game did. The battles arn't just click-and-done. There are some places where the enemies are hard, and where some are easy. That doesn't mean you won't need healing somewhere. The minigames are forced upon, but they can be fun. Though I hardly call manning the gun-well and keeping your ship safe a minigame. Pazaak is fun to relieve the stress, because it's rules are just like Blackjack. (Though I think that guy in the Lower City cantina really DOES cheat). Swoop racing is one that's forced on you to rescue Bastilla. But, then again, it is fun. As with the characters, you really get into swoop racing. After every shift you feel a jolt inside you, only to feel like you really are going that fast, the G-force pushing you back in your seat. Though I do advise you upgrade your swoop every chance you get. All in all, this game is great. I wish it were a movie, it would be better than Episode I and II, but not III. Nothing can best III.
User rating: 5One of the top 3 Star Wars games ever!
I have played both the X-Box and PC versions of this game and I fell in love after the first 10 minutes. This game is very well crafted from the ground up! Graphics on both versions are very good and the original soundtrack and voice acting is far above average for a video game.

As an RPG, it is very well rounded. Character creation and development is easy to understand but still flexible enough for you to really tweak out your characters.

The game itself is very well planned out. The story is generally linear however you still have a very high degree of freedom within the game to make your own decisions and see the consequences of those actions. You have total freedom to drive your character into a goodie-two shoes Light-side Jedi or an evil and sadistic Dark-side disciple. The different ways the story and your character can develop really add to the replay value of this game, I still play this game frequently after owning it over a year.

The story and the characters are top-notch. Maybe Lucas should consider hiring some of Biowares writers full-time, seriously. They worked magic with the Star Wars mythos. The characters who will join you are a treat. It's a lot of fun to see how they react to eachother in the story and how they react to you. The relationship your man character has with the Jedi Bastila is very flexible...you can treat her like total garbage, or you can fan the flames of romance. My favorite character by far is the Homicidal Assassin droid HK-47. His reactions and comments are classic and are worth the price of this game alone! I wish Lucas had thought of him first and stuck him in Episode 2! My favorite part is when HK-47 acts as your translater with a Jawa:

Jawa: Batta batta batta!
Me: What did he say?
HK-47: There is a 99% probability the miniature organic is seeking your assistance in recovering some lost members of his tribe.
Me: what about the other 1%?
HK-47: There is a 1% probability the miniature organic is just looking for trouble and needs to be blasted...but thats probly just wishful thinking on my part Master...

There are loads of great HK-47 moments like that, but I'll leave them for you to discover for yourself! I wish there was an HK-47 fan-club!

The other characters are still a wonderful part of this game, and exploring their personal history's and how that affects your quest is wonderful. The interesting characters are well placed in the main story-line of this game. I found myself wanting to stay up all-hours of the night playings this game, not just because it was fun, but because I was hooked on the story and I actually cared about what was happening. This quality of story-telling is rare in a video-game, it's better than a movie!

I put this in my top-3 Star Wars games of all time! Up there with Dark-Forces 2: Jedi Knight and TIE Fighter. A MUST buy for a fan, and should be considered by any RPG player.
