| Best Garden Design Magazine published in English | |
| As a professional landscape architect and plant lover, I am always on the lookout for inspiring, up to date, well written and photographed stories about design and plants. A lot to ask for, I know, but Gardens Illustrated is the best periodical that does all this that I've found to date. Consistently beautiful photographs and thorough descriptions of those photographs, interesting articles about current designers and their landscape designs, and correctly labelled latin & common names for the plants all make this a "keep every issue" kind of magazine! The only drawback I'd say for this magazine is that since it is published in the UK, most stories highlight gardens and designers in Europe, and focus on plants that grow in that region. So, I know that sometimes I will not be able to get the same exact plants to work in my region. But the design ideas and photographs certainly outweigh this drawback. | |

| It's hard to imagine ever parting with one these issues--the lush photographs are accompanied by articles written by designers and garden writers throughout the world. Witty, insightful, and absolutely gorgeous. OK. It costs a sheckle or two, but it is WELL worth it! Share it with a friend! |
