Overpriced here-don't buy
| Magazine is cool. but cheaper if you buy direct from wallpaper.com. Don't pay this outrageous price/ | |
glamour, design, wallpaper invented an aesthetic
| okay, so the price tag and the fact that everyone has ripped off the wallpaper look may make you skeptical about this magazine, but you've got to admit that the clever articles and sexy photography, the many ideas showcased and the beautiful images together make wallpaper* one excellent magazine. i still think that the content is great, although as i say unlike a couple of years ago wallpaper* aren't the only people putting out this kind of magazine anymore. | |
Hurry up and wait. And then wait some more.
| This outfit deserves a negative star or a partial one star at best. I, too, became so frustrated with spotty, late or no delivery and megawatt attitude, I decided 9 months ago to purchase this magazine from the store, if at all again. For a time, I would get my copy a week or two AFTER I saw it at the newsstands. Then, towards the end of a two-year fling, two issues were skipped. They used to use their US distributor as the delivery excuse; then of late it was the change of ownership. The Florida fax that at one time worked was still being published in the magazine even when it didn't work. Many e-mails, international faxes and even a phone call or two to England at my expense later, the least frustrating resolution was to cancel my subscription and ask for a refund for the renewal (which I finally got, albeit the check was in sterling; they said they couldn't credit my credit card!). I never did receive those two issues that I had paid for; nor did I get my money back for them. Of course, I was told I could purchase the missing ones as back issues!!! Those that I had already paid for and never received! They have no concept of customer service (and never did), are not set up to transact internationally and are deadbeat communicators. It was as if we were not speaking the same language. No matter how clear I made myself, I'd get back a response as it it belonged to somebody's else's problems with them. Lastly, in my opinion, the quality has gone down in the past few years, too. Is it really worth it...and what with that hefty price hike, too? Caveat emptor! |
