I had to post some information on here, to spread the word since no one else has. First off it has Paul Bostaph drumming, even though Dave Lombardo is supposed to be coming back for the next album. What can you say about this, extras with the fans, a music video, and you get to see the fans going [crazy] Finally a DVD of Slayer with the high quality audio (5.1 Surround Sound)and the visual depiction of the agressive live show that Slayer brings. The songs are, for the most part, the standard setlist with new additions from the GHUA album that I have seen at shows in the past. This is way better in DVD format than the "Live Intrusion" video.

This includes a 50 minute documentary "about the fans," and the "banned" video for 'Blood Line'.

The Set List:
1. Disciple
2. War Ensemble
3. Stain of Mind
4. New Faith
5. Postmortem
6. Raining Blood
7. Hell Awaits
8. Here Comes the Pain
9. Die by the Sword
10. Dittohead
11. Bloodline
12. God Send Death
13. Dead Skin Mask
14. Seasons in the Abyss
15. Captor of Sin
16. Mandatory Suicide
17. Chemical Warfare
18. South of Heaven
19. Angel of Death

In case you don't know:
Tom Araya - Vocals/bass
Kerry King - Guitar
Jeff Hanneman - Guitar
Paul Bostaph -Drums (On this DVD)
Dave Lombardo - Drums (On their next album)

Finally it's here. After months of delays the DVD of Slayer's December 7, 2001 show at the Warfield Auditorium is here!! Slayer fans rejoice!
The concert itself kicks serious ... Included among the 19 tracks are 5 songs from GOD HATES US ALL, plus obligatory classics such as ANGEL OF DEATH, HELL AWAITS, DIE BY THE SWORD & DEAD SKIN MASK. Unfortunately none of these killer cuts are here: AT DAWN THEY SLEEP, WAR ZONE, POINT, LOVE TO HATE & SERENITY IN MURDER. The sound quality is excellent & the concert is just as good as, maybe even better than the one filmed for the LIVE INTRUSION video. The entire band are playing at their peak here, delivering track after track of head banging, fist pumping, brain shredding thrash packed to the gills with energy, aggression and undisputed attitude. Pure Slaytanic adrenalin.
Unfortunately there's also a 50 minute doco called FANS RULE, which focuses on some of the wacko fans Slayer have. One of them is a drunken fool who looks like John C. McGinley's mutant twin brother- its fun to laugh at these idiots: but not the bearded hippie freak who sacrificed a dog (Because Jim Carrey told him to!!). I used to be an SPCA volunteer & if I ever met this guy I'd whup his sorry [self]. One of the fans is a hot blonde (FEMALE of course!), but a lot of them are seriously disturbed. One sad case is quoted as saying "If you don't listen to Slayer, you should just DIE!" while another gimp plays Slayer's SEX, MURDER, ART in his head whenever he's beating up one of his classmates. Which would cause Dubya to ask "Is our children learning?" while Al Gore would just blame Slayer for everything from 9/11 to to the hole in the ozone .
Really, it would just be nice if some of the more NORMAL Slayer fans were represented; just to balance it out a bit. That's my only complaint about this DVD which is a must have for any fan. Another part I found amusing is the Kirk Hammett interview where he says Slayer "are heavy, fast & aggressive"... unlike Metallica nowadays! Maybe Kirk should rejoin Exodus- it's only Jaymz & Lars The Tin Can Drummer Boy holding him back. (Pa-ra-pa-pum-pum!)
Extras are the BLOODLINE vid, which features a shot of a cute little kitty drinking "blood" & anti-religious imagery that will appal some & the disturbing sight of the band decked out in business suits. An excellent DVD- apart from the fans doco. Check it out.
User rating: 3Good show, fans in the "fans rule" need to get a job
(...). I tend to look at this for the entertainment value. Sure, the guys in the band look tired and old...and maybe they sound like it..but I give them props for keeping to their original format and doing it again and again. The one thing I admire about this band is their passion for their craft. The fans rule section is nothing more than a bunch of retards who bitch about life from the comfort of their parents' house. I could have done without it. Slayer is a great band...but common....it's ENTERTAINMENT...you don't have to take it literally...
