| Bringing the World Together | |
| The timeless Converse recently exploded in popularity yet AGAIN. All sorts of people around my corner of the country were rushing to the store to buy a pair and they were releasing them in every size (low top to knee high), color (the traditional red, black, white, and navy as well as newer colors such as baby blue, pink, orange), and pattern (camo, stars and stripes, bandana), letting anyone tailor them to their daily attire choices. Some people who have stuck with Converse through the years may turn their noses up at the more trendy who love the "new old" look, but I say these super comfy and once again highly fashionable shoes are bringing the world together. There's no where I go while wearing them that I don't bump into another person who loves them too. I've met at least a dozen super friendly folks from all social circles based on our initial Converse chit chat. If you want to get down to the nitty gritty about the shoe its self, their flat soles are great for super tall kids like little old me. It lets me be just as equally tall as the boys rather than looking down on them when I wear platform laced girlie tennis shoes. They don't have all the comfort features the new shoes have, but they wear in quickly and mold to the shape of your individual feet. Don't forget all those unique colors, patterns, shapes, and sizes as previously mentioned. Finally, you have to think that a shoe that has hardly changed its design over its entire life span has to be doing SOMETHING right. |
