So realistic and Fun, You'll think you're in Middle Earth
| Explosions, Noise, Struggle, the beginning of this game kicks off throwing you into the battle for Helm's Deep, this is when you get a real feel for this game. This game does not dissapoint there is no game that compares to it except for Rachet& Clank, Socom II and MA:GitS. Good company, for such an excellent game. This game is extremely fun, except the levels are very complicated, and at times nearly impossible to figure out, and beat Example; The Wall at Minas Terith). The coolest part is the way you can upgrade your character, and teach him new tricks. You can choose from Gandalf, Legolas, Sam, Gimli or Aarigorn, with the addition of some other supprise characters... This game also alows you to fight many opponents at the same time. Thus making this game great. There is the option of playing co-op with a freind, it is a lot of fun to play alongside your freinds. This game is amazingly fun, but only buy it if you want a huge challenge, I love this game and play it all of the time, no matter how hard it is. Overview: Fun- 15/10 so much fun to play, and a lit of fun to play with freinds. Gameplay- 15/10 A lot of fun to use the moves you've bought and to take out multiple enemies at the same time. Graphics- 15/10 So realistic you'll be wearing band-aids by the end of your game. Difficulty- 15/10 very hard, physically and mentally. Overall: 60/40 This is one of those games that you quit out of frustration, but then find yourself on the game 5 minutes later...it's that addictive. BUY OR RENT THIS GAME, EITHER WAY, YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED. | |
Improvement on Two Towers, smarter levels, great unlockables
| Whereas "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon's" video game was somewhat of a disappointment after watching the film, ROTK succeeds on all points where CTHD failed. The connection between the cinema scenes and the game are practically seamless and well-connected. While Two Towers was fun to play, the levels almost seemed like an afterthought following the film scenes. But ROTK improves on practically all levels. All levels are engaging and not just exercises in "getting you to the next cinematic excerpt." They convey a true sense of mission, and truly feel like you're inhabiting the LOTR world. Having played it on the easy and medium levels as a single player, the difficulty is right-on, and even though some levels, like the Pelennor Fields are rather difficult, the game's levels are just challenging enough to keep you determined to pass the levels, without making you throw your controller down in disgust. Some games have levels making you wonder to the point of disgust what to do, but ROTK is rather intuitive in that you come to know what you have to do, but then you have to follow that up by accomplishing it. Another great facet is the unlockables. SPOILER secrets coming up. After you pass the game, you unlock Faramir, Frodo, Merry and Pippin and can go and play the using one of them. Also, there's an unlocked level called "Palantir of Saruman," a ghostly level in which you battle round after round of an assortment of enemies, which you have seen throughout the game -- orcs, uruk-hai, ghost swordsmen and archers.... it's a simple, yet fun level, but you have 20 rounds to get through. Def. worth a purchase. | |
12 year old gamer's stoopid
| Don't listen to "a 12 year old gamer". The hobbits are the best part. If you had enough skill to get past Shelob's Lair, the next two levels are fun. The black gate is the funnest level, although I was disappointed in the Nazgul. About 2 minutes and they were done like dinner. My character of choice is Faramir, although if you don't have the cheat, it takes a while to get him.P.S. my Sam is at level 10. |
