A present for my Father | |
| I sent my father these steaks for Fathers Day. I was a bit skeptical, but he emailed a thank you to me and this is what he wrote: "We tried them out last night and I was very surprised and pleased!!! Usually sirloin is dry but this was about as good as a tenderloin-it was wonderful." | |

| I wonder if the other reviewer actually had thse with their comment "you would think these are filets." Fact is they are filets. Tha tis the problem with the hype on thsese steaks, mostly it is coming from people who don't know their beef. Question: is this Prime or Choice? Answer: NO. Is this Angus. No. I had these top filets and they were quite tasteless. Really shocking considering the price. Don't pass up your local supermarket. The fact is it has much better beef for the price. You just have to know your cuts. Take half the money and buy some choice Angus at any big box supermarket, it is twice the quality and twice the taste. Lastly don't be confused by people raving about "tenderness." These people are confusing this mail order beef's freezing, which destroys renderess it with a mushy texture, with "tenderness." | |

| You would think that these are filets. But a lot cheaper. This was the first type of Omaha steak that I ever had. not I can't even look at the stuff in the grocery store. |
