| The guys did a great job on their second time around. This album is better than the first. Not many bands can put out good second albums, but these guys did. Every song is worth listening to. This time around, they seem to really sound like a rock n roll band, they really dig into it and play it raw, with great guitar solos and catchy melody. There is not one song that I dislike. Their debut record was alright, but I'm glad that I purchased and own Elocation. | |

| I have been a fan of Default since I first heard their hit songs. I soon found other songs and loved them too. I recommend this album as well as "Fallout". | |
Elocation: A strong yet tainted release | |
| Default can be classified as a cousin to Nickelback, Chad Kroeger helps manage the group in the midst of performing with Nickelback and his younger brother is a integral part of Default. As a fan of Nickelback I must be honest and say the feel and sound of Default is similar and sometimes almost a mirror image of Nickelback. This can hurt Default. For Default to succeed and even prosper they must branch out and find their music rythm and this can only be done by cutting the apron strings to Nickelback.
As to this album, it is a pleasant and strong release with a number of great songs such as Taking My Life Away, Without You and All She Wrote. On this version of the album a bonus track of the acoustic version of Let You Down is included. This is an enhanced edition CD and if you pop it into the CD-ROM will give you additional multimedia to view. |
