Queen's second DVD is full of great videos. They are very intelligent and well made. They have many great ideas and there's no actually bad videos at all. Of course, there's some videos like "One Vision" which are boring but there's not so many of them. I like the most the video "I Want to Break Free" in which they are dressed up as women...that's so funny. Just to mention some other, there's "The Miracle" in which is the little Queen. The players and the singer are just kids. Oh my oh my, they must have had great time while doing it. This is definitely one of the best DVD-videos that has ever made.

Well, since the DVD details have already been given to you by another AMAZON reviewer, I will give you an analysis of the content that lies within this 2 disc package.

Firstly, the videos are great. Each music video is very well done, and Queen were near the top of the pack in terms of music videos compared to other bands in the 80s. The problem is, the 70s was the best decade for Queen as a band, while the 80s had a few questionable releases, and also found many mixed feelings from Queen fans. For example, there are plenty of Queen fans who are disgruntled with The Miracle album, and 5 of the music videos are from that very album. I haven't listened to that particular album as a whole, but I find tracks like the Invisible Man a significant step down for Queen in terms of calling it a hit. Breakthru is also not a favourite of mine. However, I want it all, Scandal and The Miracle seem to hit the mark for me, and many other Queen fans. Possibly the highlight of Disc 1's music videos would have to be videos of Radio Ga Ga, I want to Break Free, and A kind of magic. Three sensational songs, and classic, superb visual displays in the videos. Under Pressure also holds up very nicely in the song selection, and features quite an obscure video. We see numerous buildings crashing to the ground and no appearances from the members of Queen or David Bowie. This is a good substitute. We also have a few great rockers in Hammer To Fall, One Vision and Princes of the Universe. The videos aren't superb, but certainly worth watching.
The audio commentary I would say didn't quite live up to my expectations. Firstly, Freddie Mercury and John Deacon don't offer any commentary for the videos, and also the volume for the songs is turned down far too much during the commentary. One of the most significant difference between the Greatest Video Hits 1 release and the 2nd is the quality of the music that is here. I would certainly say that the music on Video Hits 1 is far better, featuring many more classic, intriguing tracks. That is why the extras really come into play in making this release worth purchasing.

The Extras hold several different sections to them, those being Interviews, videos and performances from The Works, Hot Space, The Miracle, and A Kind of Magic. The DVD tells us that there is approximately 3 hours of extras. Therefore, we get to see some excellent footage of interviews with all of the band members of Queen, and also featured is a one on one interview with Freddie Mercury. All of this content is great, and really a thrill to watch for a Queen fan. I was most impressed with the interviews from The Works section.
We also have a short, but neat look at the making of several music videos, I want it all probably being the most interesting the group.
Also included among the Extras are unreleased music videos of Calling All Girls, Back Chat, a live version of Staying Power and One Vision(Extended Version). This feature will appeal to some Queen fans but not others. I personally like the song Back Chat, and enjoy the live performance of Staying Power, but don't care for Calling All Girls. The extended version of One Vision is quite interesting, but you don't get anything out of the video itself.
Moving on, we reach what they call the Montreaux Pop Festival Performances, found in both The Works Section and A Kind Of Magic section. This is a let down. They try and make you believe it is a real live performance by lying you in the booklet, but believe me it isn't. It actually is just the members of Queen in front of an audience pretending to play their instruments and sing, and not actually performing songs like Hammer To Fall, Radio Ga Ga, A Kind of magic, or One Vision. I dare you to listen to the original version of these songs and then immediately listen to what they call live performances of these songs. They're exactly the same. However, it is still worth watching. Freddie Mercury does a good job lip synching and we get to hear some more great music. It seems at first like live performances, but it really isn't.
Carrying on, we reach the One Vision Documentary. A very well documented, stunning overlook at Queen working on the recording of the song, One Vision. Once again though, we were deceived into thinking that we would be getting a 30 minute documentary. WRONG! This is actually 20 minutes long. Yet, despite the DVD misinforming us once more, we still get to watch a very good Documentary and hear from all the members of Queen.
Last but not least, we reach the commentary on The Miracle Album Cover. Hmmmmm. It seems a little out of place, but surprisingly it too is definitely worth a watch. The man who created the wild, conquering cover for the album lets us know just how he did it.

So, that about covers everything that lies within this 2 Disc set. I am still undecided to which Greatest Video Hits release I prefer. They are both impressive for different reasons. My suggestions go as follows: If you are a casual Queen fan, and only a fan of the hits, you may want to avoid these DVDs as they probably won't appeal to you, especially if you're unfamiliar with 80s music videos. If you are, then pick up one of the two and see what you think. Diehards, indulge. Each of the Greatest Video Hits releases should appeal to you, because you can't get enough of seeing Queen or hearing their music. If you're a fan of rock music, well I would wait until you've become accustomed to Queen's music through albums before you buy either of the Video Hits selections.
User rating: 4Not Fully Conclusive
This collection of Queen Videos covers the bands later years and does a good job of it even though the Live version of Staying Power is now redundant since the Dvd is out which its found on. This is also incomplete. Queen overlooked some top notch Music Videos for Innuendo and the Videos for Made In Heaven which featured a bearded Freddie Mercury in his last days.
