| I thought I tried everything to get this bloody spyware off my machine. I don't know how it got on in the first place but I knew I had a rogue program somewhere giving me pop-ups. I finally downloaded Zerospyware - the download, install, and requisite updates all went smoothly except for a crash right after the first full scan. But after that scan, it found not 1, not 2, but FOUR adware programs on my machine. I got rid of those and did a quick test but the pop-ups STILL came up. So I updated again - the first couple of updates seem to be incremental. Then did a rescan. THREE MORE programs, one of them a Trojan. At that point, quarantine required a restart. Another quick test and I'm happy to announce I'm finally clean and in control of my system once again. So I just got it and already it's caught a total of seven spyware programs that I never wanted nor gave permission to be on my machine. That's the worst thing about these programs - the feeling of not having control and the worry about what they've been capturing. But for the first time in months, I feel confident that I'm clean and surfing safely again, thanks to Zerospyware. (Btw, 1.2 automatically updates to Zerospyware 2004 v2.0. Then it has another update available after that. So just keep updating.) |
