Replaced Norton, so far so good |
| Much improved over Norton. Very easy to install and the user interface was spectacular. The firewall appears to be very effective, after I ran several tests. The anti-virus properties of this software are top notch. I am contantly getting updates from Trend Micro on new worms, viruses, and trojans. You can use a manual update or an automatic update. I guess what I like most about this software is how easy everything is layed out and the install process seemed way to easy. My computer also seemed to speed up a bit after giving Norton the axe and installing PC-Cillin. Very Very Happy with this product. From what I hear this product is getting rave reviews from magazines and computer nerds. No regrets here! |

| Sounds like you need to buy a new computer. I have been using PC-Cillin for several years now and it has been flawless. PC World can not be wrong. It also does not sound like their typical support level, any time I have called they have reached perfection. Are you sure you did not buy Norton or McAfee??? Such a review would be typical of their software. Sure this software costs a bit more than the others, but in return you get the best. |

| It seems that the reviews of this software fall into 2 categories: it either works great or there are major problems. Unfortunately, my experience is in the "major problems" category. Like others, I purchased the software after reading favorable reviews. After installing the software, it caused my computer to completely shut down and then contiuously reboot. I called tech support 3 different times and spent an average of 45 minutes on hold. They could not solve the problem and upgraded my level of support. I then could not talk to a "real" person on the telephone and could only communicate through e-mails (they would not give me a telephone # for level II support). After 16 e-mails and several hours of wasted time, they finally decided that they could not solve the problem. However, they would not refund my money because I did not purchase the software directly from them (I purchased it from an internet store). They finally quit responding to e-mails. So after 2 months of wasted time, the software is going into the trash, just like the money I spent. Never again will I buy a Trend Micro product. |
