Nice Grill | |
| I just got the stainless steel model of this grill and it works great. No problem with rust or rain water in the grease cup AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IT COVERED WITH A GRILL COVER when its not in use....common sense. Its the perfect size for me and my wife. | |
Nice Grill.. GREAT customer service
| I bought this grill on clearance at a local sporting goods store. When I opened the grill, the stainless steel "top" was dented considerably. I called CharBroil and they immediately sent me a whole new lid, no questions asked. They didn't even ask for a serial number, receipt or the like. It's customer service like this that will make me a customer for life.
The grill was simple to assemble, I was able to do it on my own. The top of the unit is heavy, but not totally unmanageable for one person. I cooked enough chicken for 10 people the first time I used it. It cooked every piece evenly. It was delicious. I am very happy with my purchase, and you will be too if you buy this item.
A somewhat different opinion
| This is partly in response to the previous reviewer...
I own the Thermos version of this grill, which other than the brand is otherwise exactly the same. Having owned mine since late June, I've used the grill about six times. It has been absolutely a pleasure to use. Some times I wish for a larger cooking area, but those are the times when I am hosting a large cookout and trying to feed 10+ people at the same time. At this price range and at this quality level, this is about as big a grill as you are going to find. The grill is *HEAVY* but very easy to put together. Other than lifting the grill body onto the stand, everything else is a one-person job. Just follow the well written instructions and it should go together in half an hour or less. The construction does cut some corners, but not where it really matters. for example, the two lower doors on my grill are a little warped. At first I was a bit bummed that the grill is not entirely stainless, but I've actually found the painted non-stainless surfaces to be easier to clean. The brushed stainless steel parts have yet to rust. About leaving this grill out-doors: Out-doors doesn't mean you leave it in the elements. They make grill covers for a reason. Even stainless steel will not last if you don't at least keep the elements from it. Use common sense, trow a cover or just a plastic tarp over the grill and it will last for years. |
