It's just a blue whistle. | |
| What I was expecint was a decent train-sounding whistle. What I got was worse than that. It is very high pitched (in a G note). That's about 4 notes too high. It gets one star for the pretty royal blue paint and train decal painted on the side. And it gets a second star for actually working. That's it.
If you really want the sound that makes you smile in surprise--you know, the one with the deep, resonating overtones backing the shrill of white steam--you'll get the cedar wood Duluth Train Whistle. This blue one is just too high-pitched, lacks the body, resonance, volume, and tonal range to sound authentic or to trigger your inner locomitive engineer. If the pretty blue color sucks you in, be satisfied if that's all you get. |
