 Grooving Beats, Sparkling Melodies, and Much More! | |
| Gwen Stefani's debut solo CD Love, Angel, Music, Baby is quite a treat. Although most of the songs have a computerized, hip hop beat to them, they stand very strong due to some very interesting melodies.
What You Waiting For is a great lead off cut which starts out like a ballad but then settles into a hip hopping groove. And the up to date Rich Girl is quite compelling with the electronic beats. Bubble Pop Electric is another highlight with the rapping back and forth between Gwen and Johnny as well as some catchy synthesizer touches. The same holds true with Long Way To Go. Other tracks offer some world beats and varied arrangments. This CD is a few steps away from the edgier No Doubt material. However, what stands strong is Gwen Stefani and her co-collaborators ability to create catchy material. Two thumbs up for sure. | |

| This is a great CD. Some of these songs are great for working out! I loooove "Real Thing". Such a great song to dedicate.
The beat to "Serious" is awesome!!! Overall I think this album is HELLA GOOD!! |
